'They'll be able to do anything': Ilon Musk showed off humanoid Optimus robots at the We, Robot event that interacted with the audience

At the We, Robot event, along with Cybercab and Robovan, Tesla showed off its humanoid Optimus robots, which came out during the reveal of the new Robovan.

Here's What We Know

The robots were shown performing everyday tasks - fetching packages and watering plants. Ilon Musk said that Optimus will be able to perform almost any task, including walking dogs, babysitting, mowing lawns, etc. According to Musk, the robot will cost between $20,000 and $30,000 "in the long run."

After the presentation, the audience could interact with the robots, who poured drinks, played "rock, scissors, paper" and just chatted.

Musk said Optimus will be a "fundamental transformation for civilisation" and promised a significant increase in economic productivity. He also stated that robots will be produced in large volumes, reaching millions of units, and will help create a future without poverty.
