Ubisoft announced the remake of the cult stealth action game Splinter Cell in 2021 and since then there has been no information about the game.

Due to the lack of news, some gamers began to assume that the development of the game is frozen or cancelled, but the Insider Gaming editorial staff reassured fans of the spy action game.

Here's What We Know

Insider Gaming's sources said that at the moment Splinter Cell Remake is still in development and Ubisoft has no plans to cancel the project.

At the time of the announcement in 2021, the game was at the earliest stage of production, and this explains the almost complete silence from the developers - they simply had nothing to show.

Interestingly, the remake is being developed not on Unreal Engine, as all Splinter Cell parts, but on Snowdrop engine, on which two parts of Tom Clancy's The Division, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws were created.

According to Insider Gaming, Splinter Cell Remake is slated for release in 2026, but Ubisoft isn't ruling out that the developers will need more time, especially given the recent failures.
