Since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian military has been using SpaceX's Starlink satellite communication terminals to support communication between units and control modern weapons. Starlink plays a special role in the use of drones of all types, as it is thanks to it that the operator controls the drone and conducts effective operations.

At first it was assumed that it was Elon Musk who provides Starlink to Ukraine, but later, after several public scandals related to Musk's statements and actions towards Ukraine, it was mentioned that the satellite communication is provided by the Pentagon.

Now there is a new actor in this story.

Here's What We Know

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said during an interview with Polskie Radio 24 that Starlink modules are paid for by Poland!

Starlink modules that are used in Ukraine are not sponsored by Mr Ilon Musk, but are and will be financed exclusively by Poland. We are doing it, and no one else.

Sikorski is convinced that the availability of satellite communications is one of the main factors that allow the Ukrainian side to conduct successful operations and resist Russian aggression.
