Last month, US intelligence warned Trump's headquarters of threats from Iran, which believes the former president is responsible for the 2020 assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

Here's What We Know

Trump's campaign has requested that his security be strengthened. They have requested, for example, military aircraft for transport, restrictions on flights over his residences, and bulletproof glass for speeches at events.

WP writes that such requests are unprecedented - no presidential candidate has ever used military aircraft before an election.

The White House website says that Biden has ordered the Secret Service to protect Trump "as a sitting president".

"Until he asks for an F-15. I've instructed them to give him everything he needs," the US president said.
