MacPaw has presented an updated version of CleanMyMac, an application that provides access to a variety of tools for maintaining Mac devices, including cleaning up junk and duplicates, fixing performance issues, and more. In the new version, the developers have focused on six main functions: "Smart Care, Clean, Protect, Performance, Apps, and My Clutter.

Here's What We Know

Smart Care is a mix of five different functions. It lets you delete duplicate files, run app updates, perform a deep scan of your Mac, delete junk files, and improve performance. CleanMyMac has been redesigned to make it easier and more efficient to use.

Cleanup - the name says it all: with this feature, you can easily clean up system-generated files such as cache, logs, and universal executables, etc.

Performance - lets you view startup items and background processes to help you focus your Mac's resources on intensive tasks.

Protection - Powered by Moonlock technology, CleanMyMac keeps you safe while using your Mac by detecting and eliminating even the latest threats.

Apps - lets you manage all the apps on your computer from a single module, so you can easily uninstall unnecessary apps along with their remaining files, or update them to the latest version.

My Clutter is a module that facilitates the cleaning process by helping you find and delete large and outdated files, duplicates, similar images, and unnecessary downloads. CleanMyMac lets you keep your Mac tidy by detecting items that may be taking up space and giving you the option to choose what to keep and what to delete.

It's worth noting that to use CleanMyMac, you need to have macOS Big Sur or later and a minimum screen resolution of 1200x800 pixels.

You can learn more about the application on the official MacPaw website.
