Amazon unveils new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Starter models with improved features

Amazon has unveiled four new Kindle models for 2024, including the updated Kindle Paperwhite and the original Kindle.

The Kindle Paperwhite now has a larger 7-inch screen that offers the highest contrast of any Kindle model thanks to a new technology coating.

The page turning speed has increased by 25% compared to its predecessor. Despite the larger screen, Paperwhite remains the thinnest version with a battery life of up to three months. The model is available in black, raspberry and jade colours and starts at $159.99.

The new entry-level Kindle (11th generation) retains the design of its predecessor, but now has a screen that is 25% brighter than the previous one.

The ad-supported version of the Kindle 2024 is now available for prices starting at $109.99.
