Black Ops II sequel and information warfare: insider reveals interesting Call of Duty 2025 details
In December 2023, insider Tom Henderson shared information about a new instalment of Call of Duty that will be released in 2025.
He claimed that it would be a game set in the near future, and its events would be a sequel to Black Ops II.
Now another authoritative source confirmed Henderson's words and supplemented them with his own information.
Here's What We Know
Informed user X under the nickname FumoLeaks said that the events of the game, the name of which he has not yet specified (let's call it Call of Duty 2025) will be set in 2035, the main character will again be David Mason from Black Ops 2, and the main theme will be covert operations, espionage and information warfare.
In multiplayer mode, the developers will again add the ability to cover from bullets with human shields, but this time players will be able to attach grenades to them and push their bodies directly into enemies.
The Omnimovement system, which will debut next week in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, will be significantly improved for even more realistic and smooth character movement.
Call of Duty 2025 will see the return of modes and maps from other parts of the series, including Face Off and Uplink.
It will not do without the traditional "Zombies"-mode, the basis of which will again be a round match system, and the maps, according to FumoLeaks, will be one of the largest in the history of the series. Therefore, to speed up movement will add various vehicles. It will be possible to play in the company of up to eight people.
Henderson confirmed that his colleague's information is consistent with what he has heard about the game.
