Samsung Galaxy A26 5G spotted in Geekbench database with an improved Exynos 1280 chip
Samsung is gearing up to launch a new Galaxy A26 5G smartphone, which recently appeared on Geekbench under model number SM-A266B.
Here's What We Know
The device features an Exynos 1280 processor with an increased clock speed of up to 2.6GHz, which could indicate a more efficient manufacturing process. The standard Exynos 1280 runs at 2.4GHz. The Galaxy A26 also has 6GB of RAM, which is the standard for mid-range smartphones in 2024.
The new product is expected to feature an Infinity-O display similar to the Galaxy A36 and will get Android 15 out of the box. The cameras are likely to be similar to the Galaxy A25, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The 5,000mAh battery and 25W fast charging could likely be carried over to the new model as well. An official release date and other details are yet to be revealed.
