Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 security update is available in most regions

Samsung continues to update its devices to the current security patch and the update is now available for the Galaxy Fold 4.

Here's What We Know

The update is available in most regions of the world including Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. It brings a security patch dated October 2024 that addresses more than 40 vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. The updated firmware versions for each region are different:

• Africa, Asia and Europe: F936BXXS8GXIC
• South Korea: F936NKSS4GXIC
• Canada: F936WVLS3DWI1
• USA (with operator lockout): F936USQS6GXIC (Metro PCS and T-Mobile)
• USA (factory unlocked): F936U1UES6GXIC (Comcast, Metro PCS, T-Mobile and Xfinity Mobile)

The update only improves the security of the smartphone and doesn't bring any new features. A big update to the functionality and design of the shell is expected with the One UI 7.0, which will be unveiled early next year.
