The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is getting a new security update that US users are the first to receive.

The new software update from October is being rolled out for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE. The update comes with firmware version G990USQSDGXJ4 and fixes over 40 security vulnerabilities that were found in the previous software version.

The update is now available for carriers AT&T, DISH and US Cellular in the US. Other carriers may release the update in the next few days. The factory version of the Galaxy S21 FE has yet to receive the same security update, but it could arrive in the coming days.
