An app to unlock Tesla electric cars may be coming soon to the Apple Watch

In early 2024, Elon Musk said that Tesla might release a special app for the Apple Watch that would allow remote unlocking of the company's cars without the use of a key.

It seems that these plans are not only not cancelled, but are gradually coming to fruition.

Here's What We Know

In the source code of Tesla's iPhone app, a reference to a similar app for Apple's smartwatch was found. This proves that development is ongoing and perhaps soon Tesla owners will be able to open the doors of the electric car not only with their iPhone, but also with the Apple Watch.

At the moment, several apps for Apple Watch can be found in the App Store, but all of them are unofficial and can be removed from the service at any time.
