Galaxy S22 series smartphone users from the US can feel safe - their smartphones have started receiving a new security update from October.

Here's What We Know

In the US, the new update is available for the factory versions of the Galaxy S22 series phones. It comes with firmware version S90xU1U1UES6EXJ1 and includes a security patch dated October 2024 that addresses over 42 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software.

The new firmware does not include any new features or performance improvements. The updated functionality will only arrive with the One UI 7.0 update to Android 15.
