Netflix closes its AAA studio Team Blue, which employed gaming industry veterans

Netflix had big plans for the gaming industry. The company even opened its own AAA studio Team Blue, but closed it after 2 years of existence.

Here's What We Know

At the end of 2022, Netflix invited Overwatch executive producer Chaco Sonny from Blizzar, and in 2023, Joseph Staten, the long-time creative director of the Halo franchise, joined the team. The same year, Team Blue was joined by art director Rafael Grassetti, who was the chief art director of God of War.

However, even with such a star-studded team, nothing happened and in October 2024, Netflix disbanded Team Blue.
