The processors for the Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 will be made using the same technology as Apple's latest chips

Google plans to ditch Samsung and switch to TSMC processors for its future Tensor chips. This decision is due to the fact that previous chips created with the help of Samsung suffered from poor performance and heat dissipation issues.

Here's What We Know

The new Tensor G5 chip that will be used in the Pixel 10 will be manufactured using TSMC's 3nm N3E process, similar to the one used in the iPhone 16 Pro. This promises a significant improvement in efficiency and performance over previous models.

Google is also planning to release the Tensor G6 chip in 2026, which will be manufactured using the new TSMC N3P process. This process will also be used in Apple's upcoming A19 chips. Improvements include a 5 per cent increase in frequency and a 7 per cent reduction in power consumption, making the chips more powerful and efficient.

These changes show Google's serious intention to improve its Tensor chips and make them competitive in the market.
