OnePlus reveals new details and camera samples of OnePlus 13 ahead of China release
OnePlus is preparing for the official launch of its new flagship, the OnePlus 13, which will be available in China on 31 October.
Here's What We Know
The company reveals new details, including updated camera features. The main camera received a new 50 MP sensor with an optical format of 1/1.4 inch, replacing the previous Sony LYT-808.
An important change is the 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and f/2.6 aperture. Although the resolution has dropped from 64 MP in OnePlus 12, the new sensor promises better image quality. Also, the new 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera has an expanded field of view from 114° to 120°.
OnePlus 13 will be able to record 4K video with Dolby Vision HDR technology on all cameras, including the front-facing one. The smartphone features Hasselblad camera modes and will also be one of the first to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. A 6000 mAh battery will ensure a long battery life.
Official sample images show good detail and HDR processing, although it is worth remembering that they could have been professionally edited.
