OnePlus promises a large number of AI-based features in the upcoming OxygenOS 15

OnePlus has announced that the new version of its OxygenOS 15 operating system, which will be unveiled soon, will include numerous features based on artificial intelligence.

The focus will be on three key areas: artificial intelligence, speed, and visual reconstruction. New features include AI Detail Boost to recover lost detail in images, AI Reflection Eraser to remove unwanted reflections, and AI Unblur to blur objects in images.

In addition, OxygenOS 15 promises a 20 per cent increase in available space and improved smoothness and speed thanks to the parallel processing feature. Visual changes include a new design for the quick settings menu reminiscent of iOS 18, which will be available in a new and classic style. There will also be an O+Connect app for sharing files between OnePlus devices and iPhones.

The update will also bring Open Canvas, a multitasking system previously only available on foldable OnePlus devices. OxygenOS 15 will start rolling out to the OnePlus 12 from 30 October.
