Samsung is still backing the Galaxy S20 FE smartphone and updating its security

The rollout of the October 2024 security update for Samsung devices continues and a new patch has become available for the first model in the Fan Edition series, the Galaxy S20 FE.

Here's What We Know

The October 2024 update for the S20 FE has arrived in Korea for the 5G variant and can be identified by the build number G781NKSS9GXJ1. In Europe, the update is available for both 4G and 5G models and has a build number that ends with the characters FXJ3 or HXJ3.

The Galaxy S20 FE is already only getting a security update, as it has already received its latest Android 13 feature update with One UI 5.1. The October update fixes 30 vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and 12 that affect Galaxy devices exclusively, as well as a couple of vulnerabilities found in some Samsung Exynos chips.
