Media: Apple is scaling back and may even halt production of Vision Pro mixed reality headset

Yesterday, we reported that according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will cut production of iPhone 16 smartphones by 10 million units over the next two quarters. But, as it turns out, the American giant may resort to another similar decision.

According to sources, Apple will not just reduce production of Vision Pro mixed reality headsets, but may even temporarily freeze their production as early as November 2024.

This decision is due to the fact that due to the high cost and insufficient demand for headsets Vision Pro, in warehouses accumulated a large number of unsold goods and a significant stock of components for it, reaching a figure that would allow to collect up to 600 thousand devices.

An important goal of Apple will be the maximum realisation of Vision Pro, as the company is actively developing a new model of the gadget, which will cost less than the current model and, according to insider information, will appear on the market in 2025.
