Apple's future smart display will get a round stand in the style of the iMac G4 - Bloomberg
Rumours that Apple is preparing to release a smart display for the smart home have been circulating for a while now, and quite actively lately. New details have been revealed by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
Here's What We Know
So, this will be Apple's first smart home device with Apple Intelligence support. The gadget will get an A18 processor and a relatively small screen, about the size of two iPhones placed side by side. And if there are also speakers, you'll get a HomePod with a display.
Apple's new homeOS operating system will be able to run apps like FaceTime, Notes, and Calendar. The display will also likely be able to run slideshows of videos and photos.
Mark Gurman also revealed an interesting design detail: the display will be placed on a round stand, made in the style of iMac G4. Apparently, Apple decided to get nostalgic and remember its gadget released a couple of decades ago.
The smart display is expected to be released early next year.
