Israel disrupted Iran's ballistic missile production capabilities in a missile attack on 26 October, in response to the constant shelling of Israeli territory.

Here's What We Know

The IDF struck 12 "planetary mixers" used in the production of solid propellants for ballistic missiles, sources say.

This is sophisticated equipment that Iran cannot produce on its own and must buy from China. Iran still has a large stockpile of missiles. But the fact that the country will not be able to produce new ballistic missiles will limit its ability to replenish Hezbollah and Houthis.

Israel also struck 4 air defence systems near Tehran, which were protecting nuclear and energy facilities.

Iran's president threatened a "thoughtful response" to the attack. The Pentagon chief called for "no mistake" and no further escalation.
