Apple Intelligence for iPhone and iPad to be available in the EU in April 2025
Apple has announced a new set of Apple Intelligence features available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac via the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 updates.
Here's What We Know
These features are currently available on iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro, iPad with A17 Pro or M1, and Mac with M1 and later. However, residents of the European Union will have to wait until April 2025 to use Apple Intelligence on their iPhones and iPads.
The company explained the delay by the impact of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Mac users in the EU can already use the new features. In April 2025, Apple will also expand language support to include French, German, and Italian.
Apple Intelligence is currently available in English only in the US, but in December, it is planned to add English support for a number of countries. The first set of features includes writing tools, notification summaries, and live transcription, and future updates promise even more features, such as ChatGPT and Visual Intelligence integration.
