Google Messages continues to develop its RCS (Rich Communication Services) support for more users and now for two SIM cards. Until now, the RCS feature in Google Messages could only be active on one phone number.

Here's What We Know

The company has been testing the feature since the beginning of the year, and now it's becoming available for more devices in beta. RCS replaces traditional SMS and MMS by offering advanced chat features such as message reactions and read notifications.

Users can now activate RCS on two numbers at the same time, which is especially useful for those using a physical SIM and eSIM. RCS status for each SIM can be managed in the app's settings.

While the feature is still in beta and not available to all users, it has already been spotted on devices from Samsung and users of US carriers Google Fi, T-Mobile and Verizon. A global release is expected in the coming months.
