Samsung develops Galaxy XCover 8 and Tab Active 5 Pro

Samsung is actively preparing to release new rugged devices under the Galaxy XCover and Tab Active brands. According to information from GalaxyClub, the new phone received the model number SM-G766B, which indicates a possible next-generation XCover.

The last model, the Galaxy XCover 7, was introduced in January 2024, so the development of the Galaxy XCover 8 Pro makes sense for release in 2025.

In addition, the company is working on a new Galaxy Tab Active tablet, which is internally called Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro. Previously, the Tab Active series did not use such numbering. Perhaps the new tablet will be called Galaxy Tab Active 6 Pro, given the history of previous models.

The new gadgets are likely to have an industrial design, S Pen support, and specific features for businesses. The announcement of the new Galaxy XCover 8 and Tab Active 5 Pro may take place in mid-2025.
