Amazon launches Rufus, an AI-based assistant in Europe.

Here's What We Know

After a successful launch in the US in February, Rufus is now available for beta testing in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK.

Users can ask questions about the product through the mobile app, receiving instant answers and recommendations. The company encourages feedback to improve the assistant's performance, but emphasises that answers may be inaccurate.

Rufus is trained based on a large amount of data, including Amazon's product catalogue and user reviews.

How To Switch It On

To use Rufus, users can find its icon in the bottom right corner of the Amazon mobile app. The assistant can be used to ask questions about products and get quick answers. For example, Rufus can tell you if a certain pair of sneakers is durable or if a jacket is machine washable.
