This week, Apple introduced new iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro models, which are now available with a minimum of 16 GB of RAM.

Here's What We Know

The changes have also affected the MacBook Air line, which now also starts with 16GB of RAM at no extra charge. This means that the entire Mac line now has at least 16 GB of RAM.

Previously, the iMac, Mac mini, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air came with only 8GB of RAM.

Last year, an Apple spokesperson said that 8GB of RAM on Macs is as efficient as 16GB on Windows due to the M-series chips. However, the new Mac models now come with at least 16GB of RAM, which allows for better performance for modern tasks.

The latest Mac Studio and Mac Pro models shipped with 32GB and 64GB of RAM.
