After the release of the not-so-great Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III in 2023, there were some doubts whether Activision would be able to make a good game. Nevertheless, Black Ops 6 exceeded all expectations.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 showed the largest three-day launch sales in the 20-year history of the franchise.

The game set a record for the number of players on the first day, as well as the number of Game Pass subscribers on launch day. Sales of the game on PlayStation and Steam also increased by more than 60 per cent year-on-year.
