Nintendo has launched its own music app featuring songs from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and other iconic franchises
While millions of gamers are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of Nintendo's new gaming console, the Japanese company is making some unexpected announcements. Recently the Alarmo alarm clock was presented to the public, and today - a new music app.
Here's What We Know
The Nintendo Music app has become available on Android and iOS. As you can understand from the name, it contains soundtracks from famous Nintendo games, including such significant franchises as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Pokemon.
The company promises to continually add to its catalogue of songs.
A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to use Nintendo Music.
As for the app's functionality, users are invited to listen to music online or download it to their devices, create playlists, and listen to tracks from games that are currently installed on the user's Nintendo Switch. A useful feature will be the "No Spoilers" mode, which allows songs from certain games to be hidden.
Any tune can be looped for 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
