The OnePlus 13 debuted with a 6.82-inch display from BOE, which features a new ultrasonic fingerprint scanner developed by Goodix.

Here's What We Know

The Goodix CEO notes that this sensor provides faster and more secure access to the smartphone thanks to its new design and sound wave processing.

The advantage of the ultrasonic scanner is its ability to unlock the device even with wet or dirty fingers, which makes it more practical in everyday use.

Goodix has already partnered with major brands such as Samsung, Google, Xiaomi, vivo, and Oppo. The latest models to use this sensor include the Xiaomi 15 and iQOO 13, as well as the vivo flagships X100 Ultra and X200 Pro.

The ultrasonic scanner works by emitting ultrasonic pulses that form a detailed 3D map of the fingerprint, ensuring high accuracy and security.

Although it is more expensive than traditional optical sensors, its presence in the flagship models is a testament to OnePlus' high standards of technology.
