Looks like a human, works better: Boston Dynamics shows Atlas robot in action
One can stare forever at fire, water, wages and Boston Dynamics robots. Every time this team surprises with their engineering and cybernetic solutions.
In honour of Halloween, Boston Dynamics showed in action the Atlas robot, which in the future will be able to replace humans in some factories and enterprises.
Here's What We Know
Atlas is the newest autonomous robot that uses computer vision and a dozen sensors to see obstacles and objects, recognise changes around it and even correct its mistakes.
In the footage shown, Atlas is moving objects between a vendor's container and a mobile cart for further movement.
Each movement of the robot is autonomous, not prescribed in advance, but generated in real time with the help of AI. The robot uses a special technique to grasp the object and continuously evaluates the angles of turns to complete the task.
The company promises that it will be "the world's most dexterous humanoid robot." It might also be the cutest robot ever, especially in a hot dog suit.
