Samsung has announced its Q3 2024 results and confirmed that it is not abandoning the use of high-end Exynos chips in its smartphones.

Here's What We Know

The company said in a statement that its System LSI division will focus on supplying SoCs for "large customer" flagship products and is preparing to launch products based on 2nm technology. This indicates that the next flagship Exynos processor is still in development and will be used in Samsung's smartphones.

However, despite this announcement, rumours and leaks continue to indicate that the Galaxy S25 series may exclusively feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip due to the low yield of year-old Exynos 2500 chips. Some sources also speculate that the Exynos 2500 could be used in future foldable Galaxy smartphones instead of the S25 series.

So, while Samsung is not giving up on the Exynos 2500, it remains unclear whether this processor will appear in the Galaxy S25. The situation is expected to become clearer closer to January, when the official launch of the new S25 smartphones will take place.
