Console nextgen patch for Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online will also be released on PC in 2025
Rockstar Games has released a "nextgen update" of Grand Theft Auto V (and GTA Online) for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series a long time ago. In it, the developers improved graphics, added ray tracing, improved lighting quality and increased texture resolution.
On PC, such an update has not yet been released, but finally, the developers said that they plan to fix the situation.
Here's What We Know
In its official blog Rockstar Games confirmed that a similar patch for GTA Online (and GTA 5) will be released on PC, but the developers are not ready to share specific information yet.
...We're also planning to add features from the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of GTA Online, which you've been asking for, to PC next year.
It is likely to be one of the last updates to GTA V, because already in autumn 2025 will be the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, which will certainly have a similar online component. The developers will have no reason to maintain the old online game, as they will completely switch to improving the new crime action game.
