Apple has reportedly decided to release iOS 18.2 earlier than planned. The release was originally expected after the first 10 days of December, but now it has been revealed that it is scheduled for 2 December.

Here's What We Know

This was reported by Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter. The major updates to iOS 18.2 are related to Apple Intelligence, including features like Image Playground for creating images with text prompts, Genmoji for creating custom emoji, ChatGPT integration with Siri, and visual intelligence for recognising objects in photos.

Also in the iOS 18.2 beta is the ability to control default apps, which may become available in the public version. Future major iOS updates will focus on Apple Intelligence, which confirms the company's strategy to develop artificial intelligence.
