Google has released an update to the Google Photos app, adding a new "Updates" feed that replaces the "Share" tab.

Here's What We Know

The new feature is only available on Android devices for now, while it's not yet available for the iOS app. The new feed shows all sharing activity, including shared links, memories, and conversations, making it easier to keep track of previously shared photos. A new notification bell icon in the top right corner gives you quick access to these updates.

Google also plans to introduce a feature that will tag photos created or edited with artificial intelligence such as Magic Editor, Eraser, and Zoom Enhance. This will help users identify images created using generative AI. The new "Updates" feed will be rolled out gradually, so not all users will get it right away.
