Samsung has released a new security update for the flagship Galaxy S24, which was previously available only in the US.

Here's What We Know

The update now extends to other countries, including Europe, to improve the security of the Galaxy S24 series.

The update, which applies to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models, includes firmware version S92xBXXS4AXJB and addresses 51 security vulnerabilities found in previous versions of the software. A special feature of this update is an improved auto-lock function that prevents USB devices from being connected, except for chargers.

Galaxy S24 users in Europe can check for the update by going to Settings, Software Update.

The Galaxy S24 series was launched earlier this year with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14.

Samsung plans to release the beta of One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 this month, with a stable update planned for early next year.

This will be the first major OS update for the Galaxy S24, which will receive six more Android updates after Android 15.
