Bloomberg: Apple is conducting an internal survey and exploring the possibility of releasing its own smartglasses
Apple has a complicated relationship with virtual and mixed reality headsets: probably due to the high price ($3500) Vision Pro is not interesting to the general public.
Perhaps that is why the American giant is looking for alternative solutions and may try its hand in the segment of smart glasses.
Recall, earlier there were rumours that Apple is developing smart glasses with built-in cameras and support for Visual Intelligence.
Here's What We Know
Bloomberg insider and journalist Mark Gurman confirmed the information and said that Apple is conducting an internal study to find out the potential of releasing its own version of smartglasses. It is mentioned that the company is targeting Meta's Ray-Ban, which have a camera and AI integration, so that users can quickly get information about everything in their field of vision.
It is speculated that Apple may release its own analogue of smartglasses with an integrated Siri AI assistant, built-in speakers for listening to music and the ability to track health metrics.
For now, Apple is surveying employees to find out how highly they rate Ray-Ban and similar gadgets, as well as the feasibility of developing and releasing a similar device.
