Samsung doesn't seem to have given up on using Exynos processors in its flagship smartphones. The Geekbench database has revealed a European variant of the Galaxy S25+ with model number SM-S936B, equipped with the new Exynos 2500 processor.

Here's What We Know

This chip has a 10-core processor divided into four clusters and runs at up to 3.3GHz. In Geekbench 6 benchmarks, the device scored 2,359 in single-core and 8,141 in multi-core mode.

The Exynos 2500 also features an AMD RDNA architecture-based Xclipse 950 GPU that supports Vulkan 1.3. While the Exynos 2500 processor performance is lower than the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite, this could change when the final version of the device is released.

Samsung has confirmed that the Exynos 2500 is manufactured using the second-generation 3nm process. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor across the board, just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The new flagships are scheduled to be released in January 2025.
