Here's What We Know
The Apple CEO joined other tech leaders in expressing support for the newly elected president. In a post on his social media page, Cook wrote: "Congratulations to President Trump on his victory! We look forward to working with you and your administration to make sure the United States continues to lead the way through ingenuity, innovation, and creativity."
Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Sundar Pichai of Google, Jeff Bezos, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Sam Altman of OpenAI, and Elon Musk also joined in the congratulations.
Last month, Donald Trump claimed that Tim Cook called him to complain about Apple's ongoing dispute with the European Union, which has resulted in $17 billion in fines. Trump replied to Cook: "I have to be elected first. However, I will not allow them to use our companies for their own purposes."
