Google plans to improve the Call Screen feature on its Pixel smartphones by adding support for artificial intelligence-based contextual responses.

Here's What We Know

The feature, which debuted in 2018, allows Google Assistant to answer calls on behalf of the user, protecting them from spammers and unknown callers. Currently, Call Screen is only available in some countries, but Google intends to expand its geography.

According to recent reports, the beta version of the Google Phone app will use Gemini Nano technology to support AI responses, allowing the feature to understand natural language and offer smarter answers. For now, this innovation is still in development and it is not yet known when it will be rolled out to most users.
