Samsung has announced that the Health Monitor app will no longer work on Galaxy phones running Android 11 and older.
Here's What We Know
Starting 23 December 2024, the next version of the app (1.4.1) will require Android 12 or later for full functionality. Users of older phones will not be able to take blood pressure and electrocardiogram (ECG) measurements via Galaxy Watch if their smartphones do not support the newer OS.
The current version of Health Monitor will continue to work on Android 11 and older, but will not receive new features. Samsung recommends that users update their devices' operating system to Android 12 to receive full support for the app.
