Google's Find My Device service helps you find lost Android devices, but most phones can only be found when they're switched on. Some devices, such as the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9, can be found even when switched off thanks to special hardware and Powered Off Finding. This feature might be coming to the OnePlus 13 as well.

Here's What We Know

Recently, the OxygenOS 15 beta for the OnePlus 12 included a line indicating support for this feature, but it was removed in the stable version. A OnePlus representative confirmed that the OnePlus 12 does not support this feature due to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform.

However, the OnePlus 13 running on Snapdragon 8 Elite will probably support Powered Off Finding. Qualcomm has stated that their FastConnect 7900 chip, which is part of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, supports this feature and it is up to the device manufacturers to implement it.

So, after the mention of Powered Off Finding feature in the OxygenOS 15 beta, there is a possibility that OnePlus 13 will be the company's first device to support Powered Off Finding, which will greatly increase the chances of finding it if lost.
