Google has unveiled a new video creation app called Google Vids that uses artificial intelligence to simplify the content creation process.

Here's What We Know

The app, first announced in April, is now available for users of some versions of Google Workspace. Google Vids is designed to be used in a variety of areas such as customer service, training and development, project management, and marketing. Google Vids can be used to create training videos, employee updates and project reports.

The app offers multiple templates and a "Help Me Create" feature that generates scripts using AI. Users can add voiceovers by choosing from preset AI voices or recording their own voice. To use all the features of Google Vids, you must subscribe to one of the versions of Google Workspace: Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Essentials, Enterprise Essentials and Enterprise Essentials Plus, and Education Plus. Distribution of the app began on 7 November and will take about two weeks.
