The base Galaxy S23 with One UI 7.0 showed strong performance results in the Geekbench benchmark test
According to recent reports, Samsung is preparing to start general beta testing of the new One UI 7.0 firmware soon. The company is expected to announce the test opening during the SDC 2024 developer conference in Korea on 21 November. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 smartphones will be the first to receive One UI 7.0. The latter has already appeared in the Geekbench database with the new One UI 7.0 on board.
Here's What We Know
Well-known whistleblower Tarun Vats on his X page reported that the base Galaxy S23 has been tested in Geekbench and showed strong performance under the new OS. The smartphone scored 2109 points in the single-core test and 5555 points in the multi-core test. This indicates that the optimisation of the new firmware is going well.
One UI 7.0 is expected to be the biggest update in the history of this interface and that's why Samsung is delaying the launch of the update to maximise its usability, smoothness and stability before the final launch. The stable version of One UI 7.0 should arrive in January next year alongside the release of the Galaxy S25 flagships.
