Immediately after it became clear that Donald Trump had won the election for the US presidency, the value of Bitcoin began to steadily rise. Back on Wednesday (6 November), the price of the cryptocurrency exceeded $74.4 thousand, and by Sunday evening a historical record was set.

Here's What We Know

Today (10 November), the cost of Bitcoin for the first time crossed the $ 80,000 mark and continues to grow. Bitcoin's price rose 6% to $80,948.66 before dropping slightly.

It is noteworthy that exactly one year ago - 14 November 2023 - the price of the cryptocurrency corresponded to $37,258.57.

Such a rise in the cost of Bitcoin is associated with Trump's victory, as in his election campaign he repeatedly stated the importance of cryptocurrencies and his intention to popularise them in the American market.

The main reason why Trump has changed his attitude towards cryptocurrencies is that he now has his own financial interest. In September, the Trump family launched a new cryptocurrency business called World Liberty Financial, and obviously the newly elected president will do his best to take the importance of cryptocurrencies in the US to a new level.
