Garmin has released a new beta version 12.16 for the Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro 3 smartwatches. This is the second update for these devices in the last week.

Here's What We Know

The update includes a new watch face and additional swimming activity, as well as a number of improvements and bug fixes.

Changes in beta 12.16 include a new background for active app indicators, the addition of a Sail Expedition activity, and another watch face for Epix Pro models. There's also a new setting for haptic functions in Connect IQ.

Garmin has decided to disable the ability to change languages during activity, but did not explain the reason for this decision. The update also fixed bugs in the notifications and messages menu, and ensured that the first GPS point is correctly saved during hikes.

The company reported that at least 50% of Fenix 8 users have already received the update. For those who want to update manually, you can do so via Menu, System, Software, Check for updates.
