The gamer community is spreading unexpected news from streamer Vara Dark. According to her information, Rocksteady studio is developing a remake of the famous action game Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Vara Dark claims that Rocksteady employees, who previously informed her about a massive wave of layoffs after the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, have been tasked by Warner Bros. Games to release a remake of Batman: Arkham Asylum - the 2009 game that took Superhero projects to a whole new level and is still mentioned as one of the best games in its category.

The blogger believes that the cast of Batman: Arkham Origins, a spin-off that was released by WB Games Montréal in 2013, may be involved in the game. But as a reminder, Kevin Conroy, who has voiced Batman in a huge number of media projects, died in 2022, so the role of the Dark Knight will be played by another actor.

Vara Dark's announcement raises more questions than answers, but a few days ago Warner Bros. executives said they would focus their gaming business on four franchises, and one of them was the DC Comics universe, which includes Batman. But Arkham Asylum, despite its venerable age, is perfectly preserved and can't be said to be in dire need of a remake.
