Google is raising the cost of YouTube Premium and YouTube Music subscriptions in some countries, but offering a three-month discounted rate

Everything gets more expensive and unfortunately, YouTube Premium subscription is no exception.

Google will raise the price of both the standard YouTube Premium subscription and individual YouTube Music plans.

YouTube Communications Manager Paul Pennington confirmed the price increase and named the countries that will soon be affected by the change:

We are updating YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium prices for new and current subscribers in Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, Spain, Finland, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Kuwait, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia. Rico, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Uruguay, Turkey and Portugal.

Users from other country and regions are likely to receive similar messages soon.

YouTube Premium and YouTube Music subscribers who have already received "chain letters" note that they are offered to subscribe for three months at the old price.

By the way, the new price announced to US users corresponds to $14, it is likely to be €14 in Europe.
