Not too long ago, xAI, a startup owned by Ilon Musk, released Grok, an artificial intelligence-based chatbot.

At the moment, Grok is only available to Premium+ or Premium subscription holders at X (Twitter), but that may change soon.

Here's What We Know

According to TechCrunch portal, the developers are currently testing a free version of Grok among users from New Zealand.

It is reported that they are offered to make 10 requests to the Grok 2 model and 20 requests to the less powerful Grok-2 mini model. In doing so, users do not need to possess a "blue tick" Twitter account, but must have been registered with X for at least seven days and have a verified phone number.

It is not yet known when official information about the free version of Grok will appear, but practice shows that from the beginning of testing in New Zealand to release can take quite a long time, up to several months.
