The latest update to YouTube on Android has two annoying bugs
The latest update to the YouTube app for Android has two new bugs that are causing discontent among users.
Here's What We Know
The first bug concerns the picture-in-picture (PiP) feature, which now doesn't work correctly. When the mini player is placed on the right side of the screen, it disappears outside the screen, making it inconvenient to use.
The second bug is related to video playback. If a user pauses a video, it can only be resumed after unfolding it to full screen. These problems are not observed in the iOS version of the app.
Many users have already expressed their displeasure on Reddit, and judging by the number of complaints, the bugs have affected a significant number of people. The guys at Android Authority decided to reproduce the bug in the latest update of the app, but the problem was not observed. Google may have paused the distribution of the update, but there is no official confirmation yet.
Some users who have encountered these bugs recommend uninstalling the problematic update and using the previous version of the app, where everything works stably.
