The social network Bluesky, which is a lot like Twitter, is rapidly gaining popularity.

A few months ago, a sharp increase in the number of users was due to the blocking of Twitter/X in Brazil, and now a new record has been reached thanks to the victory of Donald Trump in the US elections.

Here's What We Know

Trump's victory prompted many Twitter users to abandon the social network, not least because it is owned by one of the US president-elect's main allies, Elon Musk.

Many of those who left X have turned their attention to Bluesky, which has seen the social network's audience grow by a million people to over 15 million users in the last week alone.

Bluesky is currently the most popular app in the App Store, surpassing giants such as Threads, ChatGPT and Google.

By the way, Threads is also seeing an influx of users. The company's social network Meta has 1 million daily registrations, and the total number has reached 275 million active users.

Bluesky developers are actively working on adding new features and for sure the surge of popularity to the social network will make them speed up this process. Among the huge pluses of Bluesky are the lack of adverts and convenient algorithmic feeds that deliver content according to the user's interests.
