Spotify has announced the launch of a new programme to monetise audio and video content from 2 January 2025.

Here's What We Know

Content creators will now be able to earn in two ways: through Spotify's affiliate programme and podcast subscriptions. The affiliate programme will earn a share of advertising revenue, while subscriptions will allow listeners to directly support creators with exclusive content and bonuses.

To participate in the partner programme, content must be posted through the Spotify for Creators platform, have at least 10,000 hours of listening and 2,000 unique views in 30 days, and have a minimum of 12 episodes released. Subscriptions require two published episodes and 100 unique listeners in 60 days. The new programmes will be available to Spotify users in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Previously, Spotify has also integrated with TikTok and Instagram to allow users to share tracks on those platforms.
